Recent BLI awards cement Kyocera as the reliable choice in office printing

LTR SEALS 2008

We have recently been awarded the much coveted Pick of the Year and Highly Recommended awards for both our FS-4300DN and FS-C8650DN printers by Buyers Laboratory’s (BLI)

“We’ve come to expect outstanding reliability from Kyocera devices, and the FS-4300DN was no exception,” said Ian Latham, BLI’s European Lab Manager.

Throughout the industry, BLI is known for its rigorous two-month testing of office-equipment products, including an extensive durability test for imaging devices during which BLI runs each unit for extended periods at the manufacturer’s maximum duty cycle. Other performance attributes BLI evaluate include ease of use, media handling, productivity and value.

BLI bestowed its Pick of the Year award on our FS-4300DN printer as best of the best in the A4 Monochrome Printers for Large Workgroups category. The FS-4300DN also received BLI’s Highly Recommended rating.

BLI subjected the FS-4300DN to a gruelling two-month durability test, and the printer displayed Kyocera’s typical dependability, running smoothly without misfeed or service call. The drum and developer’s capability to last for an incredible 500,000 A4 pages impressed BLI as well. Another plus was the device’s productivity, in particular, its output of up to 60 ppm – highest in its class.

In the A3 Colour Departmental Printer category, Kyocera’s FS-C8650DN was BLI’s “Pick.” It also received the Highly Recommended rating. BLI cited the device’s excellent reliability and productivity. The FS-C8650DN also displayed superior image quality, and its long-life consumables cut waste, reduce environmental impact and lower the total cost of ownership.

Our product marketing manager George Kharoufeh is particularly proud of the awards, “To have been recognised again by BLI means our customers can feel confident in choosing Kyocera as their preferred document solutions vendor.

Congratulations to the winner of the Global Service Technician Awards – Kyocera Document Solutions Australia 2012.

We were delighted that eighty four technicians, from our channel partners, registered for the region’s first Global Service Technician Award competing for the title of Best Kyocera Technician. Entrants for the competition weren’t just from Australia; other countries included New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu.

The finals consisted of a theory exam, covering Kyocera hardware and software solutions, as well as a practical test on a TASKalfa 8000i where the technicians were asked to solve three error messages. If the contestant was able to finish the practical test within the time limit, they could move on to a bonus test relating to Kyocera Net Viewer.

The lucky winner, Alexander Stramsek, was invited to join winners from the other regions for a week-long trip to Japan in recognition of their achievements. During the trip they will meet the management of Kyocera’s headquarters in Osaka, and tour the Kyocera headquarters’ facilities. Their full program will also give them the opportunity to absorb some of the local culture of Japan while they visit the sights the region is famous for. All finalists were awarded a certificate to recognise the high standard that they had achieved.

   Finalists:

1st Alexander Stramsek from Multifax DDS, Western Australia
2nd Gerald Sinclair from Corporate Express, Bundaberg Queensland
3rd Charles Danger, Storm Office National, Western Australia

Congratulations to our winners and all participants for a great effort!

KYOCERA awarded BERTL’s Best 2012 Office Line of the Year

We’re proud the Kyocera TASKalfa series has been honoured with the prestigious Best Office Line of the Year award for 2012 from Business Equipment Research & Test Laboratories Inc. (BERTL)

We’ve spent many years developing and refining our TASKalfa range so it is very rewarding to be acknowledged in this way by an independent industry expert like BERTL.

Here’s what the experts had to say about the TASKalafa series:

“Kyocera’s TASKalfa line is very intuitive and easy to navigate, and its ultra-reliability and long-life technology deliver superior performance over other products tested by BERTL,” said Art Wynne, president, BERTL. “Kyocera’s TASKalfa devices are a powerful yet efficient series of colour and monochrome MFDs optimised by HyPAS technology to make a MFD product line that clearly demonstrates what it means to achieve BERTL’s Office Line of the Year award.”

Kyocera Wins Triple Crown for Exceptional Performers

Here at Kyocera we have been selected by BLI for “Outstanding A3 colour MFD”, in categories 41-50, 61-70 and 71-80 pages per minute, at the BLI semi annual ‘Pick Awards’, and we are really thrilled! Buyers Laboratory (BLI), the world’s leading independent evaluator of document imaging products and solutions, conducted comprehensive evaluations assessing a wide range of the most important features and performance factors that are typically demanded by end users.

“We’re delighted that we have now been recognised in all mid to high speed colour categories by BLI, taking into account the awards they gave us in July 2011 for our TASKalfa 5550ci. What this means for our customers is they can feel confident in selecting a Kyocera TASKalfa product as these awards assure them that the outstanding performance and sharp and consistent colour quality they need has been independently verified under the most demanding conditions,” says George Kharoufeh, senior product manager, Kyocera Mita Australia and New Zealand.

All of the Kyocera TASKalfa devices offer very good ease of use from the print drivers and a well-designed colour control panel that can be moved up and down and side to side, providing easy access for individuals with disabilities. Kyocera also earned high marks for most attributes important to IT, including ease of network setup and administrative utilities. In addition, overall image quality of the devices ranged from very good to excellent.

In fact, the TASKalfa 7550ci is among an extremely small minority of business colour models to have earned an excellent rating for both colour and black output quality.

The scan functionality of the devices, which includes six shortcuts and convenient USB access, was also above average.

“Offering outstanding reliability, exceptional ease of use and strong overall productivity, there is no doubt that this trio of devices is worthy of these hard-earned awards,” said Pete Emory, BLI’s manager of laboratory testing. “Noteworthy is that the TASKalfa 7550ci is the most productive model in its class tested to date, with best in class productivity when printing BLI’s job stream and a range of other speed tests.”

As Kharoufeh adds, “Most of all, these products adhere to our core design concept to offer devices with top reliability and low total cost of ownership that are easy on the environment.”

Technology blessed by Blue Angels

Kyocera Mita aims to provide products that are safe and comfortable for customers to use and have minimal environmental impact. In recognition of this, various environmental labels have been awarded to us, with Blue Angel being just one.

The Blue Angel eco-label was created in 1978 by the German Ministry of the Interior. This eco-label is awarded to products that meet or exceed the strict environmental standards set by the institute. There are strong movements to establish international standards for labelling environmentally friendly products and consumables. At Kyocera we are proud to have been receiving the Blue Angel Mark since March 1992.

We are excited that six of our recently launched mono and colour multifunction devices in Australia and New Zealand have successfully achieved the rigorous Blue Angel environmental accreditation. The Blue Angel award is only given to products that fit to a comprehensive list of criteria that ranges from low power consumption in sleep mode and low noise in operation, to waste prevention, long-life components, eco-friendly packaging and harmless toner emissions. Additionally the products must provide standard duplex functionality and suitability for use with recycled paper.

All of these devices benefit from KYOCERA MITA’s unique ECOSYS long-life components, which aim to improve reliability and lower consumables costs whilst minimising waste. The qualifying devices are the colour multifunctionals: FS-C2026MFP+, FS-C2126MFP+, FS-C2526MFP, and FS-C2626MFP and the monochrome multifunctionals, FS-3540MFP, and FS-3640MFP.

Fady Anton, product manager at Kyocera Mita Australia and New Zealand says “We’re pleased that the strong environmental performance of our recently launched products has been recognised by meeting the Blue Angel standard. As the oldest environment-related approval label for products and services in the world, Blue Angel is one of the most stringent and well respected standards to achieve.”

Kyocera Makes Its Mark in Colour

At Kyocera Mita Australia and New Zealand we’re excited to now be ranked as one of the dominant providers of A4 colour workgroup Multifunction printers (MFPs) by IDC and to have received a host of new awards from Buyers Laboratory, Inc. (BLI), a leading global source for unbiased and reliable intelligence for the imaging industry.

We’ve long been recognised for our strong product line up in the A3 colour MFP, monochrome printer and A4 MFP sectors. However, it was only twelve months ago that we launched A4 colour workgroup MFPs and in this short time have moved to a leading position in the Australian market as customers’ most popular choice in this category, according to IDC Australia*.

George Kharoufeh, senior product manager, Kyocera Mita Australia and New Zealand, says “Achieving such a rapid rise in this colour MFP sector is an encouraging achievement and reconfirms the value of our ECOSYS design and long life technology.  Receiving a second award by BLI for high speed colour, further cements our position as a leading vendor in document management solutions.”
